Pictured are some of the twenty chairs that will be transformed into works of heArt as part of the First Annual Chair-ity. This fund-raising event is being co-sponsored by Relay for Life(RFL) and the Visual Arts Center(VAC) of Punta Gorda. Ten members of each organization will tackle the job of converting the chairs into objects of heart and art for auction buyers. The design will come from the heart of someone who has been impacted by cancer directly or as a friend or relative of someone impacted by cancer. The chairs will be auctioned to the highest bidder at a special party to be held on February 14th at the VAC. Monies from the chairs and the party will go to support the goals of each organization, RFL and the VAC.
